A CHIPPENHAM home was ransacked by burglars after they entered through unlocked patio doors.

The Pewsham home had a number of valuable items stolen and police are appealing from witnesses.

They said: "It is believed that the suspect or suspects entered the house in Bolts Croft, Pewsham, through an unlocked patio door at some point between 8.10am and 7pm yesterday (25/06/19).

"A number of items were stolen from inside the property, including three televisions, a computer monitor and a white LED projector unit."

The thieves also took distinctive push bike from the garden described as a black Carrera hybrid 21 speed bike. It has numerous alterations including a new black gel foam seat, a drinks holder attached and most significantly, the usual handlebars have been modified. The handlebars are now a set that bend inwards at the end in a sort of L shape.

PC Chloe Jenkins, from Wiltshire North Community Policing Team, said: “Between 11am and midday a white van was seen outside of the address which was unusual.

“I would like to hear from anyone that saw a white van acting suspiciously or had anyone approach them in the area.

“It is likely the items will be offered for sale, either in person or via social media, so please call us if you see anything suspicious.”
