Swindon’s town centre will be in full bloom this summer when hanging baskets are brought back.
They were a big hit last year making the area ‘more vibrant and welcoming to visitors’.
In 2018, there were 138 baskets for the pedestrian areas of the town centre, with more than 3,000 blooms.
Di Powell, inSwindon BID CEO, said: “The response from the hanging baskets last year was incredibly positive from both our town centre businesses and the public.
“There was no question around investing for a second year.”
Recently inSwindon BID organised a spring clean of the town centre, with 92 volunteers collecting bags of litter, removing chewing gum and graffiti.
