A NEW mobile classroom has now been opened after rotary clubs across the county raised thousands of pounds for the Life Education Centre.
Eleven clubs from across Wiltshire have raised £12,000 and successfully applied for a grant of £30,000 from worldwide Rotary Foundation to purchase the new unit.
The arrival of the new classroom was celebrated at a reception on June 26 at Cumberwell Park Golf Club, Bradford on Avon.
It was attended by 60 guests including Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire Nikki Alberry, the High Sheriff of Wiltshire David Scott and the Chairman of Wiltshire Council Cllr. James Sheppard.
The Life Education provides children aged four to11 with the knowledge and skills needed to make the right decisions in life which includes health, relationships and wellbeing
Andrew Huxham, President of Bradford on Avon Rotary Club, said: "Our club have been closely involved since the formation of Wiltshire Life Education."
