ROUNDHEADS and Cavaliers will battle it out this weekend in Marlborough as the town hosts members of the English Civil War Society.

Marlborough Under Attack will feature two days of 17th century themed events including workshops, living history events and a pitched battle. On Saturday from 11am there is a living history display in Priory Gardens and another one in the Merchant's House on the High Street. A 17th century religious debate will take place in St Peter's at the same time.

On The Common at 3pm there is a full scale battle with canons, muskets, cavalry and hand to hand fighting.
