THE Guide leader of 1st Studley St John’s Guide unit in Trowbridge was presented with her Queens Guide Award by the County Commissioner of Wiltshire South Girlguiding.
Chloe Decarteret was a Brownie with 1st Studley and 16 years ago joined Studley Guides.
Chloe had to undertake various elements to gain her award.
Marion Davies, Chloe’s mentor explained Chloe gained her camp licence, planned an A to Z adventure of Edinburgh.
Chloe also had to work in the Guide Unit for a number of hours and she planned a craft day for Rainbows Brownies and Guide plus other events.
She researched the rights to an education linked with sexual health nationally and spent time in Zambia with a group of Guide members.
Chloe has now been selected to lead a group to Oman this year.
The celebration evening included a BBQ, strawberries and cream and a celebration cake.
The evening ended with a camp fire sing song.
