SWINDON is set to be as hot as the French Riviera next week, as temperatures hit 30C on Tuesday.
Forecasters have suggested the town could be in for a heatwave by Wednesday, with southern and eastern England sweltering under 27C heat for at least three days in a row.
Andy Page, chief meteorologist for the Met Office, said: “As we head into next week temperatures will increase daily across much of England and Wales as hot air is drawn up from France and Spain.
