FIRE control officers have urged teenagers to stop wasting their valuable time and resources after two got stuck in baby swings this afternoon.

A Bradford on Avon crew was called out to two separate incidents at play areas in Poulton Field, Bradford on Avon, at 2.55pm and at Paxcroft Mead, Hilperton, at 3.45pm.

On both occasions, they had to completely dismantle the swings in order to get the 14-year-old teenagers out.

D&WFRS Fire Control said: "In among all our genuine emergencies, we have had to attend two separate incidents of 14-year-olds getting themselves stuck in baby swings, which depleted our valuable resources.

"We don't have endless fire engines to send out and would rather use them to save lives."
