Morrisons in Dorcan has reassured disabled customers that the same number of bays are still available to them in its car park.

This comes after three of the original disabled spaces next to the store’s front door were taken over by workman building a garden centre area.

Morrisons assured disabled customers there are new spaces available for them, to the left-hand side of the store.

Three spaces that used to be undesignated have been marked off specifically for use by disabled customers.

Duty manger Carl Price said: “We still have the same number of spaces, they’ve now just been moved.

“They’re actually closer now to the door, round the other side of the entrance so customers using those won’t have to walk as far as before.”

Work for the new garden centre area is expected to finish next week.
