THE father of PC Andrew Harper who was killed while on duty has said his family are "in a bad place".
The Abingdon-based police officer died while responding to reports of a burglary on Thursday night.
Hi father, Philip Harper, told Sky News this afternoon: "We're absolutely devastated and we're in a bad place."
His comments come as police searches are carried out.

Tributes have poured in from other family members including the officer's grandmother and uncle.
Ten people, as young as age 13, have been arrested after the incident happened about 11.30pm near to the A4 Bath Road, in Sulhamstead, between Reading and Newbury.
