A GIANT covered geodesic dome has been installed in the grounds of the Grade 1 listed Belcombe Court at Bradford on Avon ahead of this year's Iford Arts Festival.
The festival has moved from Iford Manor and this summer's performances will be staged at the Palladian home of TV and Hollywood film director Paul Weiland.
Mr Weiland, who directed the highly successful Blackadder and Mr Bean films, gave permission for the Iford Festival organisers to use his grounds ahead of the 2019 season from August 30 to September 7.
He was advised to obtained planning permission for the dome to be located next to his Georgian home.
The dome has come from Abu Dhabi for the opera performances to make sure the acoustics are perfect.
It will seat up to 240 people who will be able to watch opera performances in the round.
