The annual Swindon Railway Festival returns to Steam on Saturday September 7 and Sunday September 8.
The event will see 27 model railways all on display for the public across the whole museum.
Alongside the models, family activities, such as an interactive railway, activity trails and play areas inside the museum, will also be available.
There will also be a live steam traction engine display available at the front of the museum, which will also include the sounding of the Swindon works replica hooter (which will blow on the hour, every hour).
Ian Surtees, commercial manager at Steam, said: "It's a firm favourite in the calender, the whole museum has a really good feel about it.
"I'd encourage all families to come out, it's a great day and there's something for everyone.
"It will also provide a welcome change for kids to not be playing video games or staring at screens all day. It's about imagination."
