THREE Wiltshire eateries have been named among the very best places to eat in the UK.

The cafes and restaurants have been added to the 2020 Good Food Guide.

Alongside the finest dining establishments in the country, the Good Food Guide, owned by Waitrose & Partners, celebrates quality eateries in areas across the country.

1. The Bunch of Grapes in Silver Street, Bradford on Avon

The Bunch of Grapes says it 'offers great food and drink in a friendly relaxed atmosphere'. Head Chef/ Proprietor Tony Casey has worked in various establishments in and around Bath or Bristol. It offers a two-course lunch for £19.50 and three courses for £22.50.

It also has a seven-course tasting menu for £55 with dishes including dressed white crab, duck breast and creme brulee.

This Is Wiltshire:

2. Whatley Manor near Malmesbury

This country hotel restaurant comes complete with a Michelin star. Its Dining Room restaurant is led by executive chef Niall Keating.

If offers a top-end tasting 'gastronomic menu' at £120. A flight of wines to go with it range from £75 to £210.

There is also a brasserie where mains include lamb shoulder, confit gurnard and organic chicken breast.

3. The Methuen Arms, High Street, Corsham

The Methuen Arms serves what it describes as 'simple, seasonal, ingredient-led food with proud British roots and Italian influences'.

Mains on the A La Carte include chicken-glazed hake, mushroon arancini and wild boar.
