AN OUT-OF-CONTROL bonfire in Royal Wootton Bassett required extra equipment to put out.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call about the fire at 6pm on Sunday.
A spokesman said: "One pump from Westlea was mobilised to a report of a fire in the open in Vastern, Royal Wootton Bassett.
"On arrival, the crew found there was an out of control bonfire and requested the attendance of the water carrier from Royal Wootton Bassett.
"The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet, one main line and the water carrier."
Earlier this summer, DWFRS wildfire advisor Andy Elliott said: “If you are burning off garden waste in the garden please site any bonfire well away from buildings, fences, trees and garden structures and have a garden hose to hand in case the fire starts to get out of control. If a fire does get out of control, please call 999."
