A TEAM of cyclists from Swindon raised more than £1,200 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a long cycle to an iconic Welsh bridge.
Howard King and the Swindon Wheelers have supported good causes around the county for years by taking part in an annual Severn Bridge Ride.
The 102-mile route from Swindon to the end of the bridge took around seven hours.
Howard said: “We had 80 members taking part, everyone really enjoyed it and we got to raise a lot of money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, a really worthwhile charity.
"Most of us will luckily never need the services of the air ambulance, but it is so very reassuring to know that they are there for us."
Mandy Martin, one of the club's members suggested supporting Wiltshire Air Ambulance because she is the charity representative for Thames Water in Swindon, and in 2018 the WAA was one of the company’s nominated staff charities.
