ANIMALS of all breeds, shapes and sizes went to church in Warminster for a special pets blessing service.
Retired priest, Reverend Carole Owen, staged a Pets and Animal blessing service at St Denys the Minster Church on Sunday September 29.
The service was the first of its kind to be held in the ancient church and was hailed as a success with no accidents.
The pets who came to be blessed included around 18 dogs, a donkey, a Shetland pony, a pair of parrots and even an insect and a worm.
Churchwarden Sheila Pomeroy said: "It was great. All the pets were very well behaved and we had no accidents.
"It was very encouraging. We had more than 50 people attend with their pets, including many children.
"This is the first pets blessing service we have organised but I think we shall be holding it again."
