PUPILS from St Augustine's Catholic College in Trowbridge have been working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The DofE participants have completed four sections which included volunteering, skill and physical activities as well as the expedition section. The choices of activities varied, with some choosing to volunteer at clubs run within the school whilst others chose to help within their local community. When it came to the skill section, cooking was a clear favourite with others choosing to learn a new language or take on the challenge of programming.

For the physical section many continued to attend their sports clubs in and out of school whilst others tried to improve their speed and stamina in walking.

The participants finally made it to their practice expedition in May, completing a mapped route from Bradford on Avon to Westbury.
