THE annual Trowbridge Apple Festival is hoping all will go well this weekend, after last year’s event was cancelled due to wet and windy weather.
On Saturday from 11am-3pm the free family event will see fun, games and crafts, all along the theme of apples, to be held in Trowbridge Park.
There’ll also be live music, gardening advice, apple pressing and a talk from plant pathologist Pippa Greenwood. There will be an apple pie baking competition, so be sure to bring along your finest pastries.
Additionally, for this year’s event, organisers are aiming to be completely plastic-free.
Organisers took the decision to cancel last year’s event as the UK was hit by Storm Callum.
The Apple Festival will run alongside Trowbridge’s last Weavers market of the year which will take place in Fore Street.
