POLICE have said they want to speak to this man after a young woman was assaulted in Warminster.

Officers believe the person could help with the extensive enquiries that have been carried out since the incident happened on Weymouth Street, Warminster, on September 11.

A 19-year-old woman, from the Warminster area, was walking along the street from the direction of the train station, around 9.30pm, when she was approached from behind and assaulted.

Detective Constable Matthew Parfitt, of Wiltshire Police, said he was keen to speak with the person in the CCTV images and appealed for potential witnesses with dash cam footage to come forward.

He said: "I would urge anyone who knows this person to come forward. Maybe you were in the area at the time and may have seen this person? Or maybe you were driving and could have dash cam footage that provides us with a vital piece of evidence?

"While incidents of this nature are rare, it has really shocked the victim, and we are working hard to find the person responsible. We would like to reassure the community that every available avenue is being explored and extra community reassurance patrols have been carried out and continue to be a priority."
