Det Insp Paul Franklin said: “Our work to stop these County Lines gangs continues in an effort to take those, who are involved in these criminal activities, out of the system.

"We want to show the public that we are listening to their concerns about drug supply and the violence which usually accompanies it, and are doing something about it.

"Our work also spot-lights education, prevention and protection; the bottom line is that we are trying to stop the exploitation of young and vulnerable people who get caught up with these drug networks.

"We will continue working with our partners in the local councils, schools and colleges to ensure everyone concerned is playing their part in tackling County Lines.”
