HUNDREDS of This Country fans formed huge queues to meet the stars of the show at a book signing.
Around 1,000 people packed Blackjack Street in Cirencester in a bid to see its writers and creators Charlie and Daisy May Cooper.
The Bafta award-winning mockumentary brother and sister were at Octavia’s Bookshop for a book signing – but it wasn’t just This Is This Country that was being signed. Fans brought in DVDs, photos and posters.
The queue started to build at 9am, two-and-a-half hours before the signing and by the time it got going, then it stretched into Market Place.
And there was an extra treat in store, as the Coopers brought a surprise guest – Paul Cooper, who plays their dad Martin Mucklowe. Fans cheered and clapped as the actors appeared.
He spent his time talking to members of the public, having selfies taken, and signing autographs.
Paul even let the Adver in on a secret as he jokingly told us that he wrote some of the scenes that are in the show 'but he hasn’t been paid a single penny yet!'.
