PUPILS at Seend School have once again shown their friendship and generosity to others by helping people in need.

The youngsters have donated ten bagfuls and boxes of tinned goods and other groceries to give to the Melksham Foodbank.

Seend School Head Boy and Girl, Riley and Amelia, proudly showed off the generous donations.

Many of the school's 117 pupils contributed to the foodbank donations.

The school thanked pupils, parents and grandparents at the school’s harvest service in the Holy Cross Church on Thursday, October 17.

Head teacher Jackie Chalk said: " We are very proud of the pupils. One of the school’s values is generosity and another is friendship.

"This is a simple way that children and their families can help local people during difficult times, as all donations are going to Melksham Foodbank.

"The school have been supporting the foodbank for several years and give donations at Harvest time and at Christmas."
