Drivers are being warned of rush hour chaos this morning after Devizes Road has been closed.
Delays are expected in Old Town all day after Thames Water closed the road between Wood Street and Bradford Road yesterday for work to replace a sewer cover.
There are reports of buses and cars backing up at each end of the road.
The road will be closed until the end of today with the traffic expected to return to normal from tomorrow.
