A window company has been ransacked and had its van stolen overnight.

Police were called to the company, located at the Central Trading Estate on Signal Way, at 7.20am following reports it had been broken into.

Items from an office, along with a white Luton van parked outside, were taken.

Officers located the van on Cricklade Road. Inside was loft insulation and CCTV cameras, believed to have been stolen in an unrelated burglary which police believe could have been outside of Wiltshire.

PC Andrew Lacey said: "The items located in the van include loft insulation and CCTV cameras.

"We've not received any reports of any other burglaries in the county where these items could potentially have been stolen from.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and we are working closely with colleagues from other forces to try and identify where these items may have come from.

"If anyone has any information in relation to the burglary on Signal Way which we believe took place overnight, or the items located in the van, please get in touch immediately."
