More than 2,000 festive lightbulbs are appearing across the town centre in preparation for this year’s Christmas lights switch-on.
The lights will include lamppost sprays up and down Regent Street, The Parade, Bridge Street, Canal Walk, Fleming Way, Fleet Street and Havelock Street.
A canopy of fairy lights will be placed at Theatre Square and icicles will decorate Faringdon Road and Marley Street.
The main attractions include a giant star on the Brunel West car park, a 3D star on the planter at Wharf Green and two LED Christmas trees on the Debenhams’ canopy.
InSwindon BID CEO Di Powell said: “Christmas is always such an exciting time for us at the BID and we love to add magic to the festivities.
“We’ve always received high praise for the quality of our Christmas lights as they really brighten up the town centre on these dark winter nights and gets everyone in the mood for Christmas festivities.”
The town centre Christmas lights switch-on takes place at Wharf Green at 6pm on November 16.
