ENVIRONMENTAL activists are organising a competition to raise awareness of global warming issues.

Participants aged up to 18 years old are invited to create a piece of art on one of the themes, from their favourite thing in nature to ideas to look after the environment.

Alternatively they can create a youth climate protest poster.

Anyone who wants to submit their artworks should take them to the libraries in Cricklade, Purton, RWB or Lyneham before November 18.

Winners will be chosen by judges from RWB Environmental group and the Wiltshire Council area board.

They will be given their prizes at the Royal Wootton Bassett & Cricklade Community Area Eco Fair on November 27 from 5.30pm at the Memorial Hall.

Winning entries will be displayed in the Bassett library after the event and some will go online.
