TALENTED sports people have only a few days left to apply for a grant scheme which aims to help them win more opportunities.
Wiltshire Council will offer £500 to successful applicants aged between eight and 18.
Applicants need to be competing at a regional or national level in a sport recognised by Sport England.
A spokesman for Wiltshire council said: “Funding is available through Wiltshire Council for successful applicants who will each receive the money to help them achieve future success.
“Funding can be used to help access training for competitive opportunities, to purchase equipment and to cover transport costs for attending county regional and national events.
“The grants will help to uncover the sporting stars of the future residing in Wiltshire, and provide them with assistance towards gaining the ultimate in sporting achievements.”
Those interested will have until 5pm on November 18 to submit their applications.
