A MOTORCYLIST has died in a crash north of Swindon.
Drivers came to the motorcyclist’s aid after seeing him crash on the A429 near Northleach on Saturday morning.
One man, 31, who asked not to be named, said he and his girlfriend had been driving behind the rider when they saw him crash.
“It was a scary experience,” he told the Adver.
“We put our emotions aside and did what we had to try and bring him back. My girlfriend was holding his head.”
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The drivers of two other cars involved in the crash, a Peugeot 308 and Kia Sportage, did not suffer any injuries.
The crash took place on the A429 near Fosse Way at around 10.20am.
A Gloucestershire Constabulary spokeswoman said: “Collison investigators would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed what happened, or who has relevant dashcam footage and has not already spoken to police.
“Officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have travelled on the A429 in either direction at around 10am.”
