MEMBERS of the Bradford on Avon Beavers are getting ready to launch their Christmas stamp and postal delivery service.
Around 90 boys and girls aged six to 14 years who belong to the Scout Group will use the stamp to deliver Christmas post within the BA15 postcode area.
Residents will be able to put the stamps on Christmas post to send to friends and relatives living in Bradford on Avon, Monkton Farleigh, Turleigh, Winsley and Westwood.
The stamps cost £2.50 for a book of ten and have been designed by six-year-old Jacob Mace, whose winning artwork was chosen from the entries submitted. Jacob said that he chose to draw a robin because it is his favourite bird.
They will be on sale from all of the Scout Group’s members and in shops throughout the town. Postboxes will be available at Sainsbury’s, the town centre Co-op, the Co-op store on Winsley Road, and village shops in Winsley and Westwood, as well as Bradford on Avon Town Council offices from Friday November 22. The post will be collected on Saturday, December 14 and the Scouts will start delivering the festive greetings on Sunday, December 15.
