STAFF are celebrating after Trowbridge Town Council has been recognised as a good employer and has been presented with a gold accreditation from Investors in People.

The council has been found to have a number of policies in place, meaning that everyone from the Chief Executive to apprentices takes ownership within the work place.

Only 16 per cent of organisations accredited by Investors for People achieve this status.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Trowbridge town council’s Gold accreditation which is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Trowbridge town council in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”

A spokesman member of staff at Trowbridge town council said: “This is a good place to work. It’s an involving, empowering and listening organisation.

“Relationships are really strong, and everyone is very trusting and respectful of each other.

“I get brilliant support from my manager. They’re amazing, and always involving and encouraging.”
