FIVE GUYS' new Swindon branch is one step closer to reality.
As this picture shows, the US burger joint is now looking for staff to work at the new shop at the Outlet.
A popular burger chain is taking over the unit vacated by Ed’s Easy Diner.
It will be the first Five Guys restaurant in the county. An application lodged at Swindon Borough Council’s planning department for permission to alter the unit makes it clear that the American chain is to move in.
It says: “Five Guys is the ingoing new tenant, and the submitted application proposals form the relevant works necessary to the restaurant unit and seating area.”
The size of the kitchen and seating area will be the same, with the only changes being branding and livery.
When the closure of Ed’s Easy Diner was announced in early September several Adver readers said they hoped that Five Guys would be on its way.
Abbie Carmichael said: “This would be good for my stomach but not for my bank account.”
An opening date has not yet been revealed.
