St Barnabas CEVC Primary School, which is part of the Emmanuel Collaboration, in Market Lavington, was very excited to launch their new Christian values with a hot air balloon experience in their school field.
The school community joined the children to celebrate the launch. Headteacher Lindsay Clough, who was appointed the role in April, explained why the concept of a hot air balloon was so important to the school and the children.
“As a small, thriving Church of England school, our Christian values are central to everything we do, and after a whole school workshop involving children, parents and governors, the hot air balloon was chosen as the Vision Vehicle to symbolise our new vision and values and show how we are all on a journey together."
Harry, aged four, and in the school's new nursery class summed up everyone's feelings when he said: " It was really great fun!"
