FIREFIGHTERS rescued two dogs, two guinea pigs and two cats after being called to a fire in Westlea.
Crews from Westlea, Swindon,Stratton and Cricklade responded to reports of a fire involving a washing machine at a domestic property in Risingham Mead .
The first fire engine arrived at the scene within four minutes of the 999 call.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and used positive pressure to ventilate smoke from the property.
They were called at 11:14am on Saturday.
