POLICE are hunting an assault suspect from Swindon.

Lee Staples is 25-years-old and described as white, of slim build, around 6ft 1ins tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "If you see Lee then please do not approach him, but call us immediately on 999, providing us with a description of what he is wearing, anything he is carrying and his direction of travel.

"If you have information which could assist with our enquiries then please call our non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

This appeal is part of the force’s Wanted this Winter campaign which has been re-launched to help find the county's most wanted suspects.

Over the coming weeks, Wiltshire Police will be identifying a number of people they want to speak to about various offences.

Superintendent Adrian Burt said: "We know Christmas is a time of joy and celebrations, but the harsh reality is that there are victims of crime out there who desperately want to see justice done and will only be able to enjoy the festive season when they know their offender has been arrested.”
