A brave pupil from Woodside Primary School in Oswestry has taken the plunge to cut her hair for charity.

Six-year-old Lilah Snow had had no more than six haircuts in her life.

But feeling brave, she recently decided to take the plunge and have her hair cut much shorter.

After hearing about the possibility of being able to own hair to children who may be poorly, it confirmed her decision.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair due to illness.

The minimum length of hair accepted is seven inches but Lilah’s hair was long enough to provide eight inches. It’s also thick enough to maybe make two wigs.

Lilah said she is looking forward to receiving a certificate to confirm her donation.

Louise Jones, from Woodside, said: "What an amazing thing to do to help others in this way.

"Well done Lilah! We are so proud of you and how kind and selfless you are."
