CORSHAM: Wendy Carol Paull, 47, of Hatton Way, has been fined £108 by Salisbury magistrates and ordered to pay £310 costs and a £30 victim surcharge, after she admitted driving an Audi TT at the Spitfire Retail Park in Trowbridge on December 8 last year without due care and attention. Her driving licence was endorsed with six points and a collection order was made.

WARMINSTER: Salisbury magistrates have dismissed a case against Michael Pollard, 48, of Townsend, Chitterne, after finding him not guilty on a charge of assaulting Stephen Borlase by beating him at Warminster on April 23. Mr Pollard had pleaded not guilty.

MALMESBURY: John Paul Hunter, 52, of Hudson Road, has been fined £200 by Swindon magistrates and ordered to pay costs of £100 and compensation of £100 after being found guilty of stealing a wallet, jointly with Michael O’Driscoll, at Devizes on January 19 containing a bank card and cash and some diabetic monitoring equipment from Christopher McMullan and William McMullan. A collection order was made and the amount outstanding will be collected from his benefits by December 19. He was also found guilty of two other charges of committing a fraud by using a Halifax bank to dishonestly obtain £26.67 worth of goods from Morrisons in Devizes and £25 worth of goods from Morrisons in Devizes on January 19. He had pleaded not guilty to all three charges and had elected summary trial. There was no separate penalty on the fraud offences. Mr O'Driscoll,41, is serving a prison sentence at HMP Bullingdon in Oxfordshire. His case was moved to Swindon magistrates court.

CHIPPENHAM: Kiaran Daniel Hart, 23, of Newtown, Hullavington, has been fined £176 by Swindon magistrates and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30 after he admitted assaulting Joanna Rosemary Webb by beating her at Malmesbury on October 16. A collection order was made.

TROWBRIDGE: Jordan Ross Hudd, 20, of Woodborough Close, has been committed to a detention centre for seven weeks suspended for 18 months after he admitted assaulting Taryn Finnegan by beating her at Chippenham on September 28. He was ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £150 prosecution costs. A collection order was made. He will have to work with Probation Services on a 30-day programme to build better relationships. A restraining order was also made banning him from contacting the victim directly or indirectly and from entering Flowers Yard, Chippenham, until June 4 2021.

TROWBRIDGE: Anthony Gordan Jones, 18, of Slow Grove Close, was remanded in custody until December 12 on a charge of entering Autocare Motors in Trowbridge as a trespasser between September 23 and 26 with intent to steal. He pleaded not guilty and elected summary trial.

TROWBRIDGE: Dylan Roman Conrad Rose, 32, of St Thomas Passage, has been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and has been given a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement after he admitted assaulting Ross Pike by beating him in Trowbridge on August 1. A collection order was made. Swindon magistrates also imposed community orders after he admitted charges of causing Ross Pike harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on August 1; assaulting four people, namely Tony Burt, Daniel Jones, Adam Taylor and Ivan Wolsey, by beating on November 26 in Trowbridge, and using threatening or abusive words and behaviour on the same date. He also admitted failing to surrender to Salisbury magistrates on December 3 having been released on bail by Swindon court on November 8.

CALNE: Brett Williamson, 39, of Chaveywell Court, has been fined £138, together with a £90 victim surcharge and prosecution costs of £85, by Swindon magistrates after admitting causing Hannah Karin Doyle harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at Calne on September 7. He also admitted making threatening phonecalls, leaving threatening voicemails and sending a threatening text message on September 21, and threatening to hurt someone she loves on the same date. He was given a restraining order, and must complete community orders with a six-month drug dependency rehabilitation requirement.
