HANDMADE and unique Christmas gifts are now on sale at the shop at Trowbridge Town Hall.

This year you can support local trade by buying from independent businesses.

From handbags, ceramics and jewellery to soap, scarves and books, there will be a wide variety to browse and chose from for a gift for that special someone.

Katie Ackrill, shop and gallery curator said: "Our gorgeous shop sells quality handmade items from artists and makers working right here in Trowbridge; from quirky stationary from Button Tree Designs to stunning mugs and cups by Matt Waite Pottery.

"What’s more, buying a gift from The Shop not only means you’re supporting local artists, but also Trowbridge Town Hall.

"As a building for the people of Trowbridge, we provide space to help communities and creativity flourish.

"Money we make from our unique retail experience goes back into the venue, and helps us thrive.

"And there’s plenty of choice too... You can pick up stunning handmade jewellery, ceramics and glass, hand-woven baskets, silk scarves and, amongst the shop’s best sellers, handmade soaps, candles and diffusers by Sinceris.

"For those looking for something to adorn their walls the shop also sells prints and original artworks.

"The Shop also sells a carefully chosen and unique selection of quality books, so you might find something a little different from the shelves of supermarkets and high street retailers.

"For the Festive Season we’ve added gorgeous Christmas stories and quirky stocking fillers to our usual selection of fascinating fiction and non-fiction."

Before December 23 there is 20 per cent off book bundles.
