Swindon City of Sanctuary is looking for new volunteers.
The refugee charity, which aims to build a culture of hospitality for people seeking sanctuary from war and persecution, is encouraging people to join in its work.
Opportunities include befriending those helped by the charity, getting involved in weekly socials as well as supporting their work in local schools.
Executive officer for Swindon City of Sanctuary Nicola Wood said: “It’s new year and for some of you that means a new start, a try at something new!
“If you want to support others and give more to your local Swindon community in 2020 then check out all our volunteering opportunities.”
Part of a national movement of over 90 local groups, City of Sanctuary aims to bring people and organisations together, support projects, raise awareness and campaign for social justice.
