Swindon Town fans will have the chance to hear from club legend Glenn Hoddle on Tuesday night.

Hoddle, who led Town to promotion to the Premier League in 1993, is heading to the Wyvern Theatre and will talk about that famous season, as well as a glittering career with Tottenham Hotspur and England.

One of the most gifted players of his generation, the 62-year-old became a Town icon after taking over the managerial reins from Ossie Ardiles in 1991, acting as player/boss.

He oversaw 120 games in all competitions, making 73 appearances and scoring six goals. The last of those came in a 4-3 play-off final win over Leicester at Wembley, after which Hoddle left to take over as manager of Chelsea.

Speaking to the Adver in November, the BT Sport pundit recalled: “Chelsea were interested, and they’d been interested for quite some time.

“Getting Swindon Town into the Premier League was always my priority at that time, we had a long, hard season and had been through plenty of ups and downs since I had been there."

Ticket prices start at £34 but there is a meet and greet option (6pm start) for £74. To book visit swindontheatres.co.uk/online/tickets-glenn-hoddle-swindon-2020y
