THREE bundles of joy would be enough to change anyone’s life but after Amy Howland gave birth to triplets it was enough to spur her into action to lose seven stone in weight.

Now Amy, 38, is to take over a as leader of a slimming group in Devizes and hopes to her story will inspire others to get in shape.

The former nurse gave birth to three boys in June 2017 and was later told that she would need surgery on both her knees unless she took drastic action.

She said: “I said no to new knees and decided to make drastic changes to avert the need for surgery.

“I joined my local Slimming World group in Melksham a year ago and dropped from 19 stone to 12 stone.”

Now she has trained an a consultant for the company and will take over a Saturday classes at the Nursteed Centre on January 25 which will start at 8.30am and 10.30am.

Amy, who is married to Chloe and lives in Holt, said: “Obesity is becoming such a huge issue across the UK. When I first joined Slimming World as a member, I never dreamed that I would end up helping other people to lose weight but now I just can’t wait to get started.

“After losing 7st and completing my training, it’s a privilege for me to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped me, so that I can give my members the support they need to get to target”.

“I couldn’t have lost 7 stone without the weekly help, encouragement and understanding of my own consultant and group.

“As someone who has lost weight myself I know the challenges people can face, which is why, along with the group, I will be there to support every one of my members all the way to their chosen target weight.

“Working together as a group to overcome challenges and celebrate success is so important to a successful journey. That’s why, at my Slimming World group, there’ll be tons of support, encouragement and fun.”

She had tried to lose weight many times in the past but found she would always get tired of restricting what she ate.

She said: “I thought I was destined to struggle with my weight for the rest of my life, but when I came to Slimming World it was different.”
