IT MAY be a bit late for most of us to live out our circus fantasies, but you can hear all about it at a talk in Marlborough in February.

Lil Rice of Giffords Circus, whose aunt Nell Gifford not only ran away to the circus but set up her very own village green show, is offering a unique insight into what working in a circus is like.

The event is a fundraiser for Age Unlimited at Marlborough Town Hall,

Lil will speak about all the magical and wonderful things that go on behind the scenes to create the travelling show, which has delighted more than a million people since Nell first launched it 20 years ago.

Lil is the perfect example of proving the show always goes on, and Age Unlimited are grateful to Lil for stepping in to take her late aunt’s place and give the talk.

Doors will open at 7pm on Friday, February 7, and the talk will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £20 and are available from www.ageunlimited.org.uk or by sending a cheque made out to Age Unlimited to Avebrick House, Pewsey, Wilts, SN9 5NT.
