SELFLESS people will be awarded for their work for the community as The Pride of Swindon Awards is set to return.

The awards celebrate the positive difference that is being made.

That can be someone who has given up their time to help others.

Or it could be someone who is a role model, reduced crime, or even an employee who has gone the extra mile.

Last year the awards were held at the Steam Museum and among the winning groups was the Brighter Futures fundraising team.

And among the individual winners was Glynis Hales for her work at Penhill Haven.

Nominations for the 2020 awards have been opened until January 24.

To submit a nomination visit the Swindon Borough Council website.
