SWINDON’S streets will be lit up to help raise money for Prospect Hospice in just a couple of weeks.

The Kids Starlight Walk is a new event to raise money for the Wroughton-based charity

Children taking part on February 9 will be wearing face paint, brightly coloured clothes and lights as they set out on a 5km walk around Swindon finishing at the Town Gardens, which will be illuminated.

The walk starts at Lethbridge Primary School at 3pm.

Everyone taking part will be handed a free hot chocolate and a slice of cake at the finish line.

The walk is open to children of all ages and one adult can accompany up to four youngsters.

Registration costs £12 per under 18 and suggested sponsorship is £50
