Wiltshire Search and Rescue will be able to use a new 4x4 for its lifesaving work thanks to a £50,000 fundraising injection.
Necessary equipment has also been fitted on the new Isuzu car and members of the search and rescue team are working towards off-road qualifications to drive the vehicle.
Adrian Sawyer, chairman of the charity, said: “The new 4x4 allows us to be even more responsive over tough ground and in the very rural and isolated parts of the county that we are often called to.
“It has been a long process of planning, fundraising, procuring and now kitting out the vehicle, and it’s a testament to the hard work of many of the team that we can finally unveil the new vehicle.”
