A WOMAN who completely transformed her life is now working to help others.
Dawn Warren joined the Slimming World group in Swindon last summer after she was struggling to keep up with her six-year-old grandson.
She would struggle with knee pain and get out of breath easily while playing with him.
Dawn said: “Like a lot of slimmers, I had tried to lose weight so many times before by following numerous diets and being gluten-intolerant it was important to be healthy, but they were never sustainable because I’d always get tired of restricting what I ate. I thought I was destined to struggle with my weight for the rest of my life, but when I came to Slimming World it was different. I never felt like I was on a diet.”
After achieving her goal weight she trained as a consultant for the group.
Dawn relaunched the Upper Stratton Slimming World group, which has over 90 members.
She said: “These amazing members have already lost over 22 stone so far this January and I am so excited to see what we can achieve together moving forward.”
The group is held at Meadowcroft Community centre every Tuesday at 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
