A MASKED robber made off from a Corsham garage with £20 from the till and a bottle of vodka.

Police said officers were called to the Co-operative at the garage on Pickwick Road at 10.35pm on Wednesday.

A man had gone into the store with his face covered and threatened staff. He managed to get £20 from the till and a bottle of vodka before making off towards the town centre.

A boy, whose age police are yet to release, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Appealing for witnesses to the theft, Det Insp Tom Straker said: "This type of incident is no doubt concerning for those living in Corsham - please be reassured that we deal with incidents of this nature extremely seriously and we made on arrest within an hour of receiving this report.

"Officers are continuing with their enquiries. If you saw anything or have any further information which you think could help our investigation please do get in touch at the earliest opportunity."
