A MAN found almost four times over the drink-drive limit denies being drunk in charge of his vehicle.

Marcin Janiszewski was found in the back of his Ford Focus on July 10 last year sleeping off the effects of a booze session.

He was parked up near his allotment at Westcott recreation ground and awaiting the arrival of a friend, with whom he planned to water his plants. He claims he had no intention of driving the car.

Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court, Janiszewski, 37, of Edale Moor, Liden, pleaded not guilty to being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

He was granted unconditional bail for the trial on June 11.
