POLICE are hunting burglars who broke into a house in a village near Marlborough and escaped with jewellery.
The raid took place at around 6pm on Tuesday in Chilton Foliat and police believe a dog walker may be the key to finding the gang.
A police spokesman said: "We’re appealing for witnesses. Offenders managed to gain entry to the address in the village and steal an amount of jewellery.
"It’s believed the thieves then left in a vehicle heading towards Hungerford.
"We are particularly keen to speak to a dog walker who was seen passing this address at the time of the incident and who may have seen the suspects."
