GOLDSWORTHY’S on Catherine Street was a popular choice among our readers.

Tania O’Halloran said: “It’s the best. Great customer service great prices and great people.”

Tina Reynolds agreed: “Not only do you get treated like you’re special, you also get top service. It’s a treat that everyone needs to experience.”

Laura-Jayne Hayward said: “They area a team of committed professionals who go above and beyond to ensure that they deliver a consistent high standard of hair care. Salon has a relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble.

“The service is slick and seamless. Steve Goldsworthy cuts my hair and this man is talented. I would not go anywhere else.”

NATURAL SELECTION on Rodbourne Road received a lot of praise for its friendliness.

Sandra Jannaway said: “I have been going to Natural Selection for 17 years and I would not go anywhere else. This salon is more then a salon, it’s really welcoming, like a family, with a nice atmosphere.

“You can always get appointments when needed and they do lovely work on my hair, the staff are so kind.

“The amazing owner is Jane Norgrove. She was awarded the MTM Award for hair and beauty 2019.”

Anna Chiduku added: “It’’s like I have known these two lovely ladies for years, I have no regrets coming to this salon. The atmosphere is extremely friendly.”

HAIR CANDIE salon on Devizes Road had a few fans getting in touch with us.

Lynzi Barrett said: “Libby Deller of Hair Candy is superb. She has been doing my hair now for four years.

“Having paid up to £150 a month on my hair, finding Libby was a breath of fresh air, and having my hair done now is like having a coffee with a friend.

“She’s a lovely lady and puts her all into making you feel special. If you’re looking for a change, definitely go see Libby Deller.”

Libby wasn’t the only member of staff to be showered with praise. Lorraine Gallagher said: “Rob always makes me feel like the most important person and I leave feeling totally happy with his hard work.”

VINTAGE VICTORY ROLLERS on Cricklade Road in Gorse Hill stood out from the crowd

Claire Heller said: “This is a unique vintage-style hair salon founded by the amazing Reye Leonard who specialises in hair colouring and vintage-inspired hair styling. Raye is always welcoming and friendly and serves amazing coffee.

“The hair and makeup workshops run throughout the year are a fun way to spend time with friends or getting to know new people. Their Dolly Day parties for children are fabulous.”

Felicity Mackney added: “There’s nowhere else like it in Swindon and Raye is always so creative and does a fantastic job. The salon is so funky too, I love it. It’s the clear winner for me.”

BRUNETTES on Wood Street got a glowing recommendation from one Adver reader.

Rhi Keatings said: “Rhi Keatings Meg at Brunettes is by far the best hairdresser I have ever been to.

“Every time you walk in, you’re greeted by a friendly smile and refreshments are always provided at no additional charge.

“I have always been more than satisfied from the service I receive from Meg and she exceeds expectations every single appointment without fail.

“The hair transformations she does are absolutely incredible and I always walk out the salon happy and like a new person with amazing hair.

PIXAL-ROSE HAIR DESIGN on Rodbourne Road has an eco-friendly ethos which its customers appreciated.

Marie Simms said: “They always take the time to discuss your requirements. Kelz Clarkson and the girls are always so polite and make you feel so welcome.

“They are the only cruelty-free and eco-friendly salon in Swindon which is a huge bonus. They are the only hairdressers I trust with my hair.”

All the salon’s products are organic and vegan friendly and sourced from companies that are completely animal cruelty-free.

The salon’s interior has been decorated with recycled and reclaimed furniture to give it an environmentally-friendly feel.

HAIR BY DESIGN on Cricklade Road in Gorse Hill has been cutting happy customers’ hair for generations.

Sally Jones said: “I like it, but then I’ve been going there since my teens.

"It’s got lovely Angela and Natalie in there as well as the barbershop in front for all the guys.

“They do a lovely cut, I always get a lovely friendly welcome and they listen to your needs.”

Charlotte Linstead-Hewlett added: “ I’m sure that’s where I used to go as a child and as a teenager.

"The wonderful George was my hairdresser more than 20 years ago.”
