A POGO stick brute who was found by police hiding under his ex’s bed has had his bail revoked by a crown court judge.

Ricky Elliot was bailed by Swindon justices earlier this week after admitting breaching a restraining order imposed last year banning him from contacting his former partner.

The order was made by a judge after the 28-year-old using a pogo stick to smash windows at the heavily pregnant woman’s home before holding a knife to his own throat.

He was found at the woman’s house by police earlier this month after she sent a panicked message to her cousin asking for help. It was claimed he had been invited to the home and had resumed their former relationship, although he admitted breaching the restraining order.

Prosecutors appealed the magistrates’ decision to bail him, with the matter coming before Judge Paul Cook at Swindon Crown Court yesterday.

Moses Taiwo, for Elliot, applied for bail – saying he could be curfewed to his mum’s home on Purlyn Acre, Marlborough, and banned from his ex’s hometown of Trowbridge.

Judge Cook remanded Elliot in custody. His case will be brought before the crown court for breach of his seven month suspended prison sentence.
