SWINDON is braced for strong winds for the fourth weekend on the trot.
Hot on the heels of storms Ciara and Dennis, the Met Office says Storm Jorge will bring widespread disruption to the UK.
After heavy rain throughout today, a yellow warning for rain has been issued for the Swindon area for Saturday and Sunday.
The ground is already saturated after a wet February and 10 flood alerts have been issued, including rivers in Royal Wootton Bassett, Highworth Chiseldon and Wroughton.
Chief meteorologist at the Met Office Paul Gundersen, said: “This weekend we’ll see another named Storm bring strong winds to parts of the UK with several wind and rain warnings in place.
"South-westerly winds will strengthen through Saturday morning and it’ll turn widely windy except for northern Scotland, with wind warnings in place for Northern Ireland, Wales, southern Scotland and much of England."
